The course covers theory and applications of spatial analysis, modeling and visualization in landscape analysis, using remote sensing and GIS. During the course students are trained in software familiarization and methods for processing and visualization in scientific work.

The course is part of Master's Programme in Geomatics with Remote Sensing and GIS and Landscape Ecology but can also be read as a separate course.

Autumn term, period C-D, Study tempo 100% within Master's Programme in Landscape Ecology, can be read as a separate course.

Requirements

Competence equivalent to at least 90 ECTS credits in biology-earth sciences, geography, Earth sciences, or equivalent. Also required is knowledge equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school course English B/English 6.
