In this course you will learn geochronological methods, visualisation of geoscience data and scientific writing and publication. You will get an in-depth knowledge in dating methods of importance to Quaternary timescales including radiometric dating, dendrochronology, luminescence dating, cosmogenic radionuclide dating, and tephrochronology. Climate and other geoscience data will be analysed and visualised and you will write a scientific paper where you present the results you have collected during the course. The teaching modules include lectures, practicals, project works, seminars, and exercises.

The course is part of the Master's Programme in Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology, but can also be read as a separate course.
