Gia has been newly elected as member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of Science Europe (http://www.scienceeurope.org/sac/members/), which is an association of European Research Funding Organisations and Research Performing Organisations (http://www.scienceeurope.org/). It is based in Brussels and currently comprises 47 Member Organisations from 27 countries, representing around €30 billion per annum. Science Europe aims to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA) through its direct engagement with key partners.
